A professional ear health assessment to examine the ear canal, check for wax build-up, and assess the suitability for treatment.  This ensures safe and appropriate care before any procedure is carried out.

Microsuction
Ear Wax Removal

A precise ear wax removal method using gentle suction under direct visual guidance.  

This is often the preferred option as it is clean, accurate and does not involve introducing water to the ear.

Ear Irrigation

A water-based ear wax removal method used where clincally appropriate following assessment.

This method is not suitable for all clients and will only be carried out if the ears are deemed suitable.


Who is this treatment suitable for?

This treatment may be suitable for individuals experiencing;

  • Blocked ears or a feeling of fullness
  • Reduced hearing due to wax build-up
  • Ear discomfort or irritation
  • Tinnitus (ringing in the ears) linked to wax
  • Dizziness related to ear blockage

All clients must undergo an ear health assessment before treatment to ensure suitability and safety.


Before your appointment

Some clients may be advised to use olive oil in the ear for up to 7-14 days before treatment.  This helps to soften the wax and improves the chances of successful removal.
 
Instructions will be provided where required following your consultation.


After your treatment

After treatment, you may be advised to keep your ears dry for up to 5-7 days depending on the method used and the condition of the ear canal.
 
Further aftercare advice will be provided where necessary to support recovery and comfort.


Home visits available

  • We offer selected home visit appointments for ear health assessments and ear wax removal where suitable.
     
    For home visits;
    • Clients must be able to sit upright on a straight backed chair.
    • Accessto water may be required depending on the treatment method.
    • For hygiene and safety, pets must be kept in a seperate room during the appointment.

    Home visits are subject to suitability, location and availability.


Important information

All treaments are assessment-led.  Not every ear is suitable for every method, and treatment will only be carried out where it is safe and appropriate to do so.
