What is Cryotherapy/Cryosurgery?

Cryotherapy/Cryosurgery is a treatment that uses controlled freezing to remove unwanted skin lesions.
 
A targeted spray is applied to the lesion, causing it to freeze and gradually break down. The treated area will then naturally heal and regenerate over time.

Who is this treatment suitable for?

  • Suitable for clients with benign (non-cancerous) skin lesions who wish to remove them safely and effectively.

    All lesions will be assessed before treatment. If there is any uncertainty, you will be advised to seek GP or specialist review before proceeding.


How Often?

Some lesions may require more than one treatment depending on size, depth, and location.
 
This will be discussed during your consultation.


How it works

A controlled jet of cryogen is applied directly to the lesion, freezing the targeted tissue.
 
This destroys the abnormal cells while allowing healthy surrounding skin to recover.


Aftercare / Downtime

The treated area may become red, blister, or scab before healing.

Clients should;

  • Avoid picking or scratching the area
  • Keep the area clean and dry
  • Allow natural healing
