Targeted treatment of suitable benign skin lesions using precise cryotherapy techniques.

What is Cryotherapy/Cryosurgery?

Cryotherapy (cryosurgery) uses controlled freezing to treat and remove suitable benign skin lesions.

A precise application of cryogen is directed at the lesion, freezing the targeted tissue while limiting treatment to the surrounding healthy skin. The treated tissue then naturally heals over time.

Common lesions that may be suitable include:

  • Skin tags
  • Warts
  • Verrucas
  • Age spots
  • Sun spots
  • Cherry angiomas
  • Seborrhoeic keratosis

All lesions are assessed for suitability before treatment.

Who is this treatment suitable for?

  • Suitable for clients with benign (non-cancerous) skin lesions who wish to remove them safely and effectively.

All lesions will be assessed before treatment. If there is any uncertainty, you will be advised to seek GP or specialist review before proceeding.

How Often?

Some lesions may require more than one treatment depending on size, depth, and location.

This will be discussed during your consultation.

How it works

A controlled jet of cryogen is applied directly to the lesion, freezing the targeted tissue.

This destroys the abnormal cells while allowing healthy surrounding skin to recover.

Aftercare / Downtime

The treated area may become red, blister, or scab before healing.

Clients should;

  • Avoid picking or scratching the area
  • Keep the area clean and dry
  • Allow natural healing
Full aftercare guidance will be provided at your appointment
