PRECARE
Do remove makeup or spray tan before arrival or certainly by the start of the treatment. Time spent on removing makeup in the treatment time will reduce the treatment time and experience.
Do ensure optimum personal hygiene at the start of a massage. We may cancel treatment for lack of personal hygiene without refund.
Do not eat a heavy meal at least 2.5 hours before a back massage.
Do not opt for a back massage in the first trimester of pregnancy.
AFTER CARE
There is a possibility of post-massage reactions; these will normally subside within 24 hours. Reactions include; feelings of nausea, emotional anxiety, headaches, drowsiness,thirst, increased urination,– as the excretory system is stimulated during lymphatic drainage massage and toxins are removed.
Do use products that can eliminate or help with any skin conditions.
Do opt for an overall healthy lifestyle to support the treatment aim such as nutritious food, exercise ,meditation, sports, and avoidance of stress as far as possible.
Do drink plenty of fluids, e.g., water and herbal tea, to promote a cleansing effect on the body and to replace any fluids lost.
Do consider taking massages regularly to promote well-being and also improve physiologically by improving blood circulation, improving lymphatic drainage, and removing toxins
Do use an SPF minimum 30 after massage and as a lifestyle change.
Do not opt for sun-bathing for up to 12 hours following massage.
Do not apply perfume or perfumed products to treated area within 48 hours of having a treatment
Do not opt for strenuous exercise in the immediate hours.
Do not drive as concentration may be compromised due to relaxation.
Do not expose yourself to ultraviolet light exposure (artificial or natural) for 24 hours.
Do not undertake any other treatments of the treated area within 48 hours of having a treatment
Do not use stimulants such as alcohol and caffeine for 24 hours following the massage as the body will readily absorb the chemicals and toxins.
Reduce smoking and alcohol in general.
Do not use direct heat, such as sauna, hot bath, shower, or hot hairdryer.
Do not go into direct sunlight direct sunlight saunas for 48 hours after having massage
Do not use sunbeds and heat e.g., saunas for 48 hours after having massage,
Do not apply exfoliating skincare products for 48 hours after having a treatment as the skin is sensitized during massage.
