PLATELET RICH PLASMA
(P.R.P)
Platelet Rich Plasma (P.R.P.) treatment is a non-surgical procedure using a natural rejuvenation process. It involves using a patient's own plasma to harness the growth factors which boost skin repair and rejuvenation and hair restoration

PROCESS
-
First, silicone pads are placed on the (closed) eyelids.
-
Your lashes are then lifted onto the pads and a serum is applied to them which breaks down the protein in the lashes.
-
The lashes are molded onto the shield, so the lash is given a new shape.
-
A keratin-infused fixing serum is now applied to begin the process of restoring the lashes and conditioning them.
-
Now a tint is applied, if required. (this can be applied to the bottom lashes too)
-
Once the tint is removed, a coat of nourishing solution is applied to the lashes to help remove the lashes from the silicone pad, and also provide an extra layer of protein to strengthen and condition.

The silicone pads are removed.
-
The lashes are brushed and the treatment is finished.

CRYOSURGERY
Cryosurgery is recognised as the benchmark in dermatology practice worldwide.
The NHS no longer routinely funds the removal of benign skin lesions. Happily, at SKIN:TONE we are able to provide this service.
We perform Cryosurgery using Cryopen - an FDA approved device. With this device we are able to treat benign lesions such as :

The treatment is fast and effective, allowing us to penetrate a lesion up to 10 mm and to treat it, often within seconds.
The device uses N2O in a controlled manner to destroy skin tissue and freeze the intercellular fluid to -27 degrees. This frozen fluid forms ice shards which rupture the cell membrane. In this way the cells in the lesion are destroyed.
CryoPen offers a safe treatment- it allows us to use it on lesions with pin-point accuracy without damaging surrounding tissue; even close to the eyes. It causes minimal discomfort and requires just a few short visits to our clinic. Importantly, there is usually no follow up care following the treatment.
